How to quit eating junk food in 3 easy steps
A brief self-hypnosis technique
Step 1 - Think of a single unhealthy or fattening food or drink
that you would like to eradicate from your diet. Examples of this
would be chocolate, biscuits, cakes, crisps, soft drinks or any food or drink that is keeping you stuck at an unhealthy weight.
Step 2 - Close your eyes and take a few slow, deep breaths and allow
your mind to clear. Take a moment to go inside yourself and totally
relax. Then imagine a plate full of the most putrid, rotting fish,
maggots or anything similar that is completely repulsive to you.
Create this picture in your mind's eye and connect with the revolting smell of the fish. Hold back from gagging, but make this image very real.
Step 3 - Now imagine the fattening food you want to erase from your
Diet and mix it up with the rotting fish. If it is chocolate, imagine the chocolate all over the fish making an even more disgusting smell. If it is a fizzy drink, imagine the putrid fish inside a glass of the drink. Be creative with this part of the technique; the more vivid you make this image, the more powerful it will be. After you have fully
absorbed the image, allow your mind to become blank. Take a few slow breaths, slowly count to three and open your eyes.
The next time you think about the food or drink that you mixed up with
the rotting fish you will feel completely different. You will have
lost any desire for that food or drink; you may even find it quite
repulsive now.
You can use this technique to systematically eradicate all bad foods
and drinks from your diet.
