All of the MP3's below are either instrumentals or songs that Glenn has written going back over the last 20 years and they have all appeared on Glenn's hypnosis titles. Each track has been recorded at different times and as a result the quality does vary a little. Glenn Harrold has been a musician and songwriter since he started playing the bass guitar in his late teens. Glenn was a punk rocker in 1977 when he joined a band called The Vagrants who later morphed into the Sugar Ray Five. In 1983 the SRF won £10,000 in the BBC1 national Battle of the Bands. They were then signed to a major label, released a couple of singles and appeared on various TV shows, but alas their all too brief taste of success came and went like Haley’s Comet. 1983 television interview Alyson Harrold meanwhile was busy winning Opportunity Knocks with her two sisters in their band called the Anderson sisters. In contrast to Glenn's punk style they had a more gentle but very classy MOR sound and they played with many household names at such prestigious venues as the London Palladium and The Albert Hall. Aly was just 12 when the Anderson sisters were at their peak. (Aly will not allow any of her 1970's TV clips to be added here). I think they looked lovely! :)) Glenn and his singer wife Alyson began writing songs together soon after they met in the early 1990’s. From the mid 1990’s they had a seven year stint in as a duo called “Wishful Thinking” playing cover songs in clubs, pubs, hotels and restaurants. The demands of playing cover songs 3 to 4 nights a week for 4 hours at a time had a negative effect on their creative song writing and this was not a very prolific period. However towards the end of the 90’s they decided to move away from the covers circuit and so the wring began to flourish again. In the late 90’s Glenn and Aly wrote songs as a duo called Diviniti and after a break of 3 years, started writing songs again in 2003. The forced break came about as they had great success elsewhere with Glenn’s hypnosis tape & CD series which has sold 0.6 million copies worldwide, and became established as the UK’s best selling self help audio tapes and CDs. As a result of this they are both directors in Diviniti Publishing Ltd, a thriving business responsible for the marketing and production of Glenn’s hypnotherapy recordings. They have a recording studio at their home in Kent where they write, arrange and record their own songs. They previously had a number of successes in various international song competitions. Most notably coming 3rd in the 1996 Amnesty International song contest with Glenn’s song “Freedom Hope & Liberty” which went on to be released world-wide on an Amnesty International compilation CD. They also came 2nd in the Cork International song contest in 1997 with “Teach our Children Well”. Both songs are on the Diviniti Demos Volume 1 album. They are currently working on recording new material although these projects have to fit around the demands of running Diviniti Publishing worldwide.
