Andrew Blissett (Songwriter, keyboards, production, Engineer Editing Mixing)
Lucinda Drayton (Songwriter, Vocalist, production)
Andrew and Lucinda began their careers in the pop industry. In 1994 they wrote a number one hit with Toni Di Bart. It was called, ‘The Real Thing’ and became a huge club hit throughout Europe. Around this time they also discovered Raja Yoga Meditation, a simple form of meditation based around the belief that we are all souls. Tiny points of living energy whose nature is one of peace, love bliss power and purity.
The practice of this meditation and the embracing of a spiritual way of life brought great changes to the music. Gradually a new sound was born. Lucinda’s pure voice coupled with Andy’s extraordinary use of texture and harmony has created a sound with the purity of Enya and the passion of Joni Mitchel. The albums move through gentle folk arrangements into epic, film like, sounds capes. From solo piano to layers of angelic voices.
Unfettered by record company’s directions, yet lucky enough to have their own recording studio, Bliss are able to be completely free in their creative process. This allows them to be completely honest and it is this honesty that makes their music so powerful.
Bliss also run workshops linking meditation and spirituality with creativity. They are involved in organising Peace Concerts and do a lot of work in conjunction with The Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University on an International level.
